I miss the way I felt around you. I miss the night when we stumbled home drunk and passed out in my bed. I miss the days we spent curled up on your couch watching tv. I miss the way you’d lie with me before I passed out when I slept in your spare bed. I miss feeling like I belonged to you, and that it was mutual. I miss your parents, and your brother. I miss your crazy aunts and your drunken friends. I miss the night we made out on the dance floor and I finally took you back.

But I can’t bring myself to miss you. You’re the past now, but the impression and the scars you’ve left on me are permanent. I miss who I was a year ago. But I don’t regret a day of being with you.

I guess the thing that I miss the most is missing you.
